Austin Home Sales Top $1Billion in June
For the first time ever, Austin home sales in a single month surpassed the $1Billion mark. With June’s sales data illustrating Central Texas’ strong real estate economy, 2015 is shaping up to be a record setting year.
Barb Cooper, President of the Austin Board of Realtors commented on the significance of this milestone, saying in an interview conducted by the Austin Business Journal, “It shows the amazing equity Austin homeowners have in the market and the powerful impact of real estate in Central Texas.
The $1Billion threshold is headline grabbing, but the underlying message has remained the same; Austin’s real estate economy has continued to see growth that has far outpaced the national average.
